Measure to a tangible reference, not a minuscule line. With Step Gauge RTS, place the gauge with required graduations onto its leg set, position your desired dimension over the router bit or saw blade, and adjust until contact. Tip: Go slightly higher, lifting the gauge's foot off the table, then lower it until the foot touches the table. Step Gauge DP is equally simple, needing just one leg. Position the scale under the bit, lower the quill until the bit touches the gauge, and lock your depth stop. Every drilled hole will now stop at the same depth. The Step Gauges are laser-cut from 3/32" thick stainless steel, resistant to humidity. Our proprietary finishing process ensures a smooth, non-glare satin finish that contrasts perfectly with laser-engraved graduations, with both sides engraved for convenience. Made to order, precisely machined, and carefully inspected in our Strongsville, Ohio, facility, these gauges are only available until September 4, 2023, after which they'll be retired.
