The strain relief clamp helps prevent cord damage. The plug has a prong (known as a conductor) for each wire, 3 wires gives you a plug with 3 prongs. Hardware is included for the strain relief clamps to make connecting the cord simple. Wire gauge is 6/2 & 8/1 of SRDT FLAT wire.
