Quick Adjust Receiver Hitch

The lift raised the hitch point 9 inches. Most cars and trucks (pickups) have a receiver that ends nearly flush with the rear bumper. ATV/UTV receivers are different in that they typically end near the rear differential, usually located in front of the rear bumper or bed, requiring the hitch to extend. A simple extension (2-inch receiver hitch extension) can sometimes be used, but the distance of the extension beyond the receiver makes it difficult or impossible to drive over rough terrain (the extension hangs on the ground whenever the operator drives through soft soil or encounters uneven ground), causing the rear wheels of the unit to be centered high. Even a cargo basket designed for a truck (including those with an angled tongue) will work best using the Hornet receiver hitch when the basket is intended to be attached to an ATV/UTV.
